I would like to be like a pencil. For every step I take, I want to be useful and be guided by a superior hand that helps me write my story. And this hand, when needed, would put me to the side to use a pen instead to write other aspects of my life, making me suffer a little, but inspiring me at the same time to write my story with even more passion the next time I am used again. I want to be like a pencil because my magic eraser would allow me to erase my life's mistakes after I learn from them and rewrite the story how I best like it. It would not matter what I am made of (wood, rubber, plastic, metal) because the inside (the lead) is the most essential component to write. For this reason, I would always protect my soul against any prejudices I encounter in life about my exterior looks. I want to be like a pencil. A pencil always leaves a mark. In my life, I want to leave a mark as well, that I existed in a perpetual condition of "loving", and I contributed with a grain of sand to make this world a better place.
(inspired from the short story "A Historia do Lapis" by P. Coehlo)
